This single tooth of Crocodylus niloticus was found in Area 7A near Ileret. It is a common crocodile in Modern day Lake Turkana and was abundant in the lake and rivers 700000 years ago. This tooth is relatively wide and short by comparison to the teeth of the slender snouted crocodiles Euthecodon that it coexisted with. The teeth are much more slender, pointed and curved.
