Kamoyapithecus hamiltoni, a primate known from a site that is 24-28 million years old. KNM-LS 7 is a maxilla (upper jaw) fragment preserving most of the second and third molars. Kamoyapithecus is important because it is currently the earliest evidence of a possible fossil ape in Kenya, and one of only a few large primates known from this period
