This bifacial piece belongs to the oldest Early Acheulean known so far in East Africa and in the world. It is between a rough-out and a protobiface, made on a thick flake (L = 216mm, W = 108mm, T = 71mm) removed from a cobble and then roughly shaped with a few removals on the upper face of the flake. But even if the shaping is minimum, the pointed extremity is well designed
