This core-tool comes from one of the oldest early Oldowan site in West Turkana. It is made on a large and thick  flake (L = 150mm, W = 121mm, T = 65mm) knapped from a big cobble. A series of peripheral flakes have been removed (hand held percussion) , mainly on the upper face of the flake, to form a thick abrupt scrapper.
