The discoverer of this well preserved fossil is unknown but it was found from Naiyena Engol, (NY2), West Turkana. Just above the KBS tuff and considered to be 1.77 million years. This is a late juvenile or young adult, as its third molars (wisdom teeth) are exposed but have not yet fully erupted. This specimen is most likely to have been a female and represents one of the best preserved faces of Paranthropus boisei after OH5, the Zinjanthropus skull from Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania.
