This is a complete fossil pig skull of Kolpochoerus hesloni which was recovered from the deposits on the east side of Lake Turkana. It was found in 2008 by Arbollo Aike. Kolpochoerus is characterised by the distinct and wide zygomatic arches that protrude below the eyes. The cheek teeth of this pig resemble those of the modern bushpig in both size and shape. Kolpocherus has a long temporal range (3.26 -0.7 million years) and has a wide geographic distribution.
